My aim when photographing events is to anticipate the moments of joy, surprise, and interest that are sparked between guests.
By listening to what’s happening around me, I’m able to look for the next exciting interaction. This might mean silence, or laughter - the quiet conversation is just as important as the amused howling. I am discreet, yet approachable, and engage with clients at eye level. Tasmanian Rugby Union 90th Anniversary Dinner.

On Saturday, 03/06/2023, members of the Tasmanian Rugby Union gathered at Wrest Point, Sandy Bay to mark their 90th Anniversary dinner.
Guests were treated to a Q&A session with former Wallaby Mark Gerrard, as well as current Wallabies Angus Bell and Taniela Tupou.
The evening was a delight to photograph, with older and younger generations of Tasmanian Rugby Union players and supporters celebrating their sport and community.
Dick’s 93rd Birthday
Part celebration of a momentous birthday, part family reunion, Dick’s Birthday was a long time coming.
With COVID postponing Dick’s party (actually a 90th birthday celebration) for a few years, Dick’s family pulled out all stops to make his birthday memorable. With family from overseas, old friends, delicious food and sublime oysters, it was a joy witnessing the love and happiness at this family event.
2022 TEFMA Annual Awards Dinner

I had the privilege of photographing the TEFMA awards dinner in the stunning AURA Lounge Bar and Event Space in Hobart.
Here, Australian and international TEFMA members were treated to delicious food and locally sourced beverages. It was great to see old friends, colleagues and new acquaintances enjoying the scenery of nipaluna/Hobart’s growing, small city skyline.
