Travel photography
I’ve had the privilege to travel to Vietnam, Cambodia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Montenegro and Ireland and have always had a camera by my side, ready to photograph the next fountain, square, mountain or bus-stop. For me, travel photography is a secondary experience. When in a new country, I accept that I’m going to be overwhelmed and taken aback by the differences I perceive. Living in Germany for seven years didn’t just give me an appreciation for the surrounding countries’ landscapes and people, but also make me understand what makes Tasmania so unique, quirky and magnificent. Photography helps me scratch the surface of a place, to understand its form, landscape and people intensively, yet only for a fraction of a second.
